Eligibility:
The awards are open to colleges, university undergraduates or individuals with an interest in fashion. All applicants must be age 16 -25 years of age, living or have been educated in the Midlands Region. The focus of the awards is on creativity and originality; therefore we are looking for young people with raw talent to demonstrate their skills and abilities.
ENTRY FORM:
A completed entry form must be accompanied with three designs selected from the following categories: autumn and winter, Christmas party theme, masquerade ball theme, alternatively you can choose your own Theme. Please complete the entry form in detail giving a comprehensive description of each of your designs. This information will be used by the judges when making their decisions.

SKETCHES
Designs may be submitted three ways:
- On A4 drawing paper - draw your (3) designs including the front, back style and colours. You can draw your designs on a traced figure or have someone else draw it for you; however please note your designs must be your own original design.
- By Email – submit your designs as an attachment together with your entry form to include the front, back style and colours to info@myfashiondesigners.co.uk.
- On CD - scan your designs before putting the files onto disk. Include sketches or photo/digital images detailing front and back of your designs.
Preliminary Judging:
A panel of judges will determine the finalists based on interpretation of the competition brief, sketches/designs together with a detailed entry form. Finalists will be notified by email or letter of their place in the finals and will be asked to make their designs ready for the fashion showcase and award ceremony.
Judging at the Awards:
Finalist who scores the highest mark, regardless of category, will be the overall winner. The judges’ decisions will be final.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Please label each piece of item sent in with your name and address together with the categories entered.
- All sketches/designs will be returned following the final fashion showcase.
- The entry form must be completed in full and forwarded together with your sketches/designs to the address detailed on the entry form by Tuesday 31st March 2009.
