Rebecca Giddings graduated from Bournemouth University in 2010 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion and Textiles. Her interest in fashion was sparked at her cousin’s military wedding when she was a teenager. The groom wore a bespoke military uniform which generated more interest from the guests than the wedding dress.  Inspired and determined to learn more about design, Rebecca enrolled on a fashion and textiles course.  Now 5 years later she has gained a work placement at Norton and Sons’ Saville Row. She has also won an invitation to Drapers Record, featured in the Next Generation 2011 event (London) and showcased at four graduate fashion shows including Graduate Fashion Week 2010. Rebecca will be showcasing her Spring/Summer 2012 collection at the Midlands Fashion Designer Awards. The collection focuses on Spring/Summer layering where outfits can be customised depending on the season and personal style. Rebecca is currently a freelance designer and volunteer pattern cutter, creating seasonal collections for a boutique in Tettenhall and also helps with the boutique owners own self titled collections.
