Designer Profile – Charlotte Fortescue
Charlotte has always excelled in her studies of fashion from her textiles GCSE to National Diploma and is currently in her first year studying her foundation degree at university with hopes of enrolling at Central Saint Martins for her BA Honours degree.
With a passion for fashion, she is always with a sketchbook and is driven to working in the fashion industry. As a model, she has also had experience with the back stage elements of fashion and has gained knowledge through photo shoots.
Charlotte has a love for couture and she particularly admires the smart tailoring found in Chanel and Saville Row but she is equally fascinated by innovative designs created by Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Her designs are made to flatter the female figure with elegance, class and chic being the main inspiration. Her collection is titled ‘Chic Nouveau’ which takes elements from several decades ranging from the 20s and 30s and a hint of 50s glamour. We look forward to seeing charlotte’s collections on the catwalk at the Midlands Fashion Designer Awards 2011.

Hello,
This year our Fashion Society at the London School of Economics is organizing a fashion show which is planned to take place in mid-February. This will mainly be a student event but will also be advertised outside of the LSE and we are expecting one of the Teen VOGUE editors to attend the show.
We are interested in attracting different young designers who are able to lend us a few (maybe around 10) designs which would be returned after the show. I would be grateful if you could get back to us ASAP if you are at all interested in participating our show and maybe send us a few pictures of the designs you would be willing to lend to us.
Many Thanks,
LSE Fashion Society
